Ethiopia

If you require a passport while in Ethiopia you should apply at the British Embassy in Addis Ababa

Djibouti

If you require a passport while in Djibouti you should apply at the British Consulate in Djibouti.

Somaliland

If you require a passport while in Somaliland you should report to the British Embassy in Addis Ababa.

What to submit

To apply for a UK passport you must submit:

1. a completed application form
2. 2 passport sized photographs
3. supporting documentation
4. your previous passport
5. the correct fee in local currency

Processing your passport

It can take as long as 3 weeks to process your passport application from the date we receive it therefore we recommend that you apply in plenty of time before you actually require the passport for travel.

There may be a delay in the process if you use the wrong form, do not provide the correct fee or do not provide the correct supporting documentation.
