Applying for Consular services
We offer consular services both at the British Embassy Addis Ababa and British Consulate Djibouti. If you require any consular services simply come into the consular section during working hours. You should go into the consular counter and ring the bell. The consular assistant will then attend to you. Or you can book an appointment.
Services
Functions we commonly perform include:
- Certifying copies of British official documents (Passports, driving licences, birth, death and marriage certificates etc) for use in Ethiopia.
- Certifying the Ethiopian MFA stamp on Ethiopian documents for use in the UK and elsewhere.
- Witnessing signatures.
- Administering oaths, affidavits and statutory declarations.
- Receiving notices of proposed marriages from British nationals and producing subsequent ‘certificates of no impediment’.
